Windsor Farm is located in beautiful western West Virginia, on the Ohio River. We are dedicated to breeding sweet tempered, well conformed and long lived Great Danes, to be perfect companions for families who plan to keep their dogs where they belong, in the house, as part of the family. We do not sell them for any other purpose, as Great Danes are heartbroken if not kept close to their owners.
Our Great Dane breeding program started 16 years ago, when we were lucky enough to buy a marvelous black male Dane, out of Harlequin stock, from the Canadian Sheboane line. We named him Just Thor of Windsor, and he has given us many beautiful litters over the years, and has some handsome sons and daughters all over the East coast. Unfortunately, our dear old Thor passed away in January of 2005 at the age of thirteen. He is sadly missed. He was truly a gentle giant.
Our Great Danes and Labrador Retrievers live in the house as part of our family and the puppies are often paper trained by eight weeks old.
